This periodical collection was launched in 1998 by the Pedro Arrupe Institute of Human Rights at the University of Deusto, with the aim of engaging the wider public with current human rights issues, approached from a broad, interdisciplinary perspective. This Special Issue reaffirms our commitment to promoting informed, thoughtful, and critical reflection on the major challenges faced by human rights and democracy in a world increasingly marked by polarisation.
